Roles and Responsibilities:



The Turnaround Scheduler applies Primavera technical principals, specialized techniques and knowledge of related disciplines to ensure effective schedule development through appropriate sequencing and prioritization of work. The role is responsible for implementing Primavera scheduling best practices in accordance with standards developed by the SME for Turnaround Planning and Scheduling.

Develops realistic turnaround schedules of consistent high quality with predictable outcomes that meet business objectives and comply with company Standards.

Reviews turnaround estimates for accuracy against Engineering Work Orders.

Updates schedules during turnaround execution. Performs proactive schedule analysis during execution periods. Develops schedule reports and proactively analyzes schedules for change in scope.

A full understanding of sequencing, prioritizing and resource leveling tasks associated with construction related activities, combined with a high level of knowledge and proven competency in the use and application of Primavera software is essential.

The ability to work under pressure and deliver work products to meet challenging deadlines is a requirement for this role. The incumbent must have strong analytical skills and be able to quickly review Primavera schedules to identify potential problem areas and present options to correct any issues.

The ability to incorporate refinery and HES standards. Must have knowledge of and reinforce all safe work practices and procedures.

Must be able to independently interface with multiple disciplines including Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Construction Contractors, Inspections, Cost Engineers and Senior Management to meet all deliverables incident and injury free, on time and on budget.

Strong Oral and written skills are required to facilitate effective reporting at all levels within the organization.

The successful candidate should be a self-starter, capable of proceeding using their own initiative and judgment with infrequent assistance from supervision.



Required Qualifications:



High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

5-10 years experience in the role of planning and scheduling turnarounds within an oil and gas refinery environment using Primavera required.

Minimum of 5-8 years experience with Primavera P6.

Utilization of MS Word and Visio required.

Experience working directly with mechanical engineers, craftsmen, operations and contractors required.

Proficient oral and written communication skills required.

Promotes and champions safety policies and procedures (OSHA and EPA)

Preferred



Working knowledge of MAXIMO Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Associates Degree or Trade school equivalent. Previous "the client" Refinery experience



Pay Range:

The salary range for this position is $55.00-60.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
