Job Description


Roles and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will prepare Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, depot maintenance work requirements, and other technical publications in accordance with applicable military standard requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Level 2: BS+3-5 YRS or MS+0-3 YRS



The current desired start date notes 5/6/24 however manager has confirmed they may be able to accommodate an earlier start date.



The contractor must be local to the Grand Prairie, TX site. Telework < 50% (in office 3 days per week)



Required Qualifications:



Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) development experience

Working knowledge and experience developing to MIL-STD-40051-1 military standard requirements

Expert knowledge and proficiency with Arbortext

Expert knowledge and proficiency with eXtensible Markup Language (XML)

Expert knowledge and proficiency with Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML)

Expert knowledge and proficiency with HTML style sheets

Experience and proficiency as a technical writer

Proficient with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Ability to write using clear and concise language that adheres to customer-established standards and conventions.

Ability to write technical content for maintenance technical manuals including installation, test, repair, and troubleshooting procedures.

Ability to acquire and verify subject matter content by interviewing workers engaged in developing products, observing production methods, referring to Engineering drawings, notes, manuals, and similar publications.

Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Ability to quickly learn new software tools and processes.

Must be able to work well in a team environment and work well with various levels of management.

Strong attention to detail and must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to obtain a Government Special Clearance. Not required to start.

Candidate must be willing to work overtime as required and support business travel as required.

Desired Skills



- Active Special Government Clearance

-Working knowledge of DoD specifications i.E. S1000D.

-Experience with tracking status for multiple projects.

-Experience with the development of proposal Basis of Estimates (BOEs) within the discipline of Technical Publications

-Previous military experience or working in DoD industry.

- Previous experience or knowledge of Precision Fires Munitions

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $40.00-46.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.



Please Note:

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
