The Client is Canada's second-largest oil company, involved in extracting oil and gas, refining it into usable products, and selling them through gas stations. They're a major player in Canada's energy sector.
As Surface Land Analyst you will be working within the Surface Land team you will be supporting the E&PS (Environmental and Property Solutions) team as well as working collaboratively with the area Land Agent. Responsibilities would include requesting and completing agreements for site access, including road use for end of life surface sites. Imperial Oil presently has operating areas in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Ontario as well as operates in the Northwest Territories and North of 60. Strong Surface Freehold land experience is a necessity.
The Surface Land Analyst (Contractor) would represent Imperial Oil and ExxonMobil Canada with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
This contractor position will report to the Surface Land Manager and you will join a team of other land professionals, supporting Imperial s Surface Land portfolio. There may be an opportunity for this contract position to develop into a permanent position, based on company need.
Specific responsibilities and skills would include:
Prepare and process of all documents required for land access for well-sites, pipelines and remediation/reclamation sites
Ensuring accurate management of the CS Explorer land system to assure data integrity and to comply with obligations
Respond to external partner queries (landowners, third parties, queries from Controllers)
Work closely with the ExxonMobil Budapest GBC analysts (Global Business Center) on various tasks and assignments
Attend E&PS team meetings, as required
Possess a solid understanding of current industry policies and regulations affecting surface rights
Review, thoroughly understand and adhere to all Surface Land and Corporate procedures including business controls, cyber-security and all other corporate policies
Sound business judgment with effective analytical skills and a strong work ethic
Strong communication, organization and team skills and thrive on working in a fast paced dynamic environment
Working or advanced level knowledge of CS Explorer (or other land system), IHS AccuMap, SPIN, Abadata and Microsoft Office suite
Other projects, as assigned
Qualifications
Academic:
8 years+ experience as a Surface Land Analyst/administrator with a proven record working in a similar role
Graduation from an accredited Surface Land Program or relevant experience

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $60-75 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
