Job Description


Roles and Responsibilities:

What are the main functions of this role?

o Perform Hand Calculations to determine scope of higher detail analysis models

o Perform detailed analysis to solve diverse program structural challenges

o Perform peer reviews of all analysis to validate process and results

o Document results according to Raytheon standards

o Deliver results to customers (internal and external)

o Act as a technical leader and/or lead/mentor analysis teams

Qualifications and Education Requirements:


Required Skill Sets:

o A degree in Mechanical or related Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience with structural analysis

o Experience in Structural analysis structural (including static loads, thermally induced stress, shock, vibration, and fatigue) using ANSYS, NASTRAN, MSC Patran or equivalent

o Experience in mechanical principles to solve classical structural analysis solutions both inside and outside of finite element tools

o Experience in Windows and Office Suite

o The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued special clearance is required.



Desired Skill Sets:

o Six (6) or more years of experience in the structural analysis of complex systems that require collaboration of multiple engineering disciplines (such as a weapon system)

o Earned Value Management System knowledge

o Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

o Experience in Flutter, Dynamic shock and vibration analysis

o Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction

o Ability to travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities

o Demonstrated experience in leading structural testing: Planning, organization, execution, data reduction and correlation

o Basic understanding of CAD tools in order to facilitate finite element solutions

o Advanced degree in aforementioned disciplines. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $64.00-74.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.



Please Note:

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
