Roles and Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Learning Manager to support the local deployment of SAP S/4 HANA to COMPANY S SPECIFIC BUSINESS UNIT(SJVBU). SJVBU operates upstream oil and gas assets in Central California and is part of a broader S/4 release to four (4) upstream business units in North America.



The Learning Manager is a pivotal role for ensuring that ~800 employees across our Business Unit are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use and adopt SAP S/4HANA. You will be responsible for overseeing the training coordination, execution of training sessions and continuously assessing the training needs of local end users to meet the evolving needs of the workforce. Your goal will be to enhance user competency, productivity, and adoption of SAP S/4HANA through effective local training programs and delivery.

They will also partner with the Central Team out of Houston, as well as the other Upstream Business Units in the same deployment release, to ensure successful execution of deployment activities and business readiness at deployment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Central Program Team (in Houston), the Systems Integrator (in Houston), and the other Upstream Business Units to understand and execute the local deployment learning objectives, requirements, and activities.



  2. Review and collaborate with local functional team members & process owners to ensure business context training materials and job aids meet the needs of the business unit.



  3. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust based on feedback and performance metrics.



  4. Collaborate and participate with other business unit sub-teams to standardize training delivery, address training challenges, and share best practices.



  5. Stay abreast of the product backlog, release updates, change impacts and testing results to ensure training programs are current and relevant.



  6. Facilitate a supportive learning environment, providing additional support where necessary to ensure all employees achieve proficiency and adoption.



  7. Manage the coordination of training delivery, programs, including schedules, resources, and technology requirements.





Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years proven experience as a training manager, trainer/educator, or similar role, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems.



  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA applications, system functionalities, and business processes.



  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with participants effectively.



  • Ability to oversee the execution of engaging and effective complex training programs.



  • Experience with adult learning principles and training assessment methodologies.



  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.



  • Bachelor s degree in education, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related fields.



  • Multiple full-cycle ERP deployments, with at least one deployment working directly for the client/business.



Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.



Preferred Skills:

  • Multiple full-cycle ERP deployments, working for any team SAP, the Systems Integrator, or the Business.



  • Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or Power deployment experience that includes frontline operations and maintenance stakeholders.





Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $90.00-$115.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
