Title: Willow Fabrication Project Controls Specialist



The Project Controls Specialist is a core member of the Willow Project Services Team. The successful candidate is a specialist, knowledgeable in all aspects of Cost Control and Change Management, including:
The administration of procurement costs and provide inputs to the procurement schedule for the sea lift module fabrication scope of the project.
Monitoring delivery dates, budget control, analysis of project commitments, development of the cost forecasts and collection of actual project expenditures and submittal of accruals on the assigned work packages.
Overall invoice submissions, verifying the associated backup, routing them appropriately for processing and approval.
Additional responsibilities that may include but are not limited to assisting with change management and SAP purchase requisitions.

The Project Controls Specialist reports to Fabrication Project Control Lead who is a primary owner of all schedule and cost information for the fabrication scope of Willow Project. This position coordinates between multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to Engineering, Quality Management, Fabrication Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Contracts Administration, Procurement, Expediting, Transportation, Logistics, contractors, other cost/schedule team members to support timely and accurate cost reporting.

Responsibilities
Monitor expected and actual delivery dates of materials.
Collect, analyze, and report committed and actual costs for the project.
Collect and report the accruals.
Update monthly project forecast in the cost controls system.
Perform cost variance analysis.
Conduct contractor performance analysis with Planning/Scheduling team members.
Monitor assigned project budgets and contract commitments.
Create project requisitions.
Review and validate vendor invoices.
Review and validate contractor change requests.
Submit project change requests in the cost controls system.
Participate in development of the annual budgets for the project.
Participate in implementing cost controls system and processes.
Generate ad-hoc reporting upon request.
Communicating to the Project Controls team and the construction team any scope, schedule, or cost risks/opportunities in a timely manner.
Being a leader in HSE performance by communicating, fostering, supporting, and enforcing the Willow HSE policies, procedures, guidelines, requirements, and objectives.

Basic Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or equivalent.
5+ years of experience working on capital projects in the petroleum industry.
Demonstrable technical competency in the field of Project Controls and use of Project Controls systems including SAP and MS Office
Knowledge of Project Controls, Cost Engineering, Forecasting (Work in Progress/Earned Value), Accruals and General Accounting
Understanding of project schedules and experience with P6 and/or other scheduling software.

Preferred Requirements
Advanced knowledge of proprietary computer software systems used for project management, tracking, controlling, and reporting.
Understanding of procurement processes including purchasing, expediting and receiving

Education and Skills:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or equivalent.
5+ years of experience working on capital projects in the petroleum industry.

Work Schedule:
9-80 Schedule (9Hr Days) - 5 days on / 2 days off

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
