Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $80.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer focuses on the development of the Mechanical Static Equipment Packages including Piping, Pressure Equipment, and their non-mechanical components structural skid, instrumentation and Control, Electrical and Rotating during the Detailed Design, Construction, and Commissioning for the entire Project scope including the review of Contractor and vendors deliverables, Non-Conformance Report, Specification Deviations, Technical Queries, Request For Technical Information, etc., as well as oversight of Contractor personnel. The role is characterized by:
- Strong leadership skills and effective interface and influence others without authority
- Reviews Contractor Deliverables and is responsible for providing and coordinating Company comments within the Mechanical package discipline for the Project-wide Area
- Reviews design, specifications, procurement, and construction/installation activities to ensure compliance with the Job Specifications, contractual requirements, and all regulatory requirements
- Execute all expected activities committed with high value for safety taking responsibly for his/her own safety and the safety of his/her co-worker
- Responsible for all mechanical package equipment design for the project-wide scope (including brownfield modifications) considering the full life cycle of the equipment
- Make sure compliance with critical pipe stress calculations results aligned with equipment and piping layout and placement including pipe supports configurations.
- Works with the E&R Group to ensures compliance with all FERC permits/requirements and code compliance
- Review, assess, and approve Mechanical field engineering design changes. Perform field surveillance of mechanical package installation (placement and layout) monitoring compliance with project specifications
- Interface with Construction and Quality personnel to provide expertise in the resolution of non-conformance reports, evaluation of specification deviations including field design change requests
- Monitor Contractor s mechanical package installation execution, cleaning activities, punch list, and completion
- Broad and extensive knowledge and experience on:
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Piping Engineer shall include the following but not limited to:
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Previous proven experience on Large Projects Design, Construction, Commissioning, and Startup.
- Multiple large projects experience as mechanical lead or mechanical engineer in multiple disciplines areas: Piping, Piping Supports, Valves, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, pumps, fans, motors, Instrumentations and Control (basic), Coating, Thermal Insulation, Material, Equipment Integrity, and equipment operations
- Lead technical complex discussion on design, construction execution challenges, specification deviations, technical queries, and discussion with Regulatory parties and other project teams: Construction, Quality, Operations & Maintenance, Contractors, and Vendors
- Excellent knowledge and proven competency on Design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
- Knowledge, competency, and experience on the following areas:
- Piping ASME Codes B31.1 (Power Steam High Pressure System)
- B31.3 (Process Piping, including Piping Stress Analysis)
- ASME and API related to Flange, Valves, and Piping Components including Valves design, selection and troubleshooting
- Applicable API or other Industry Standards, practices, and local regulations requirements

- Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
