Job Description


The Material Program Manager (MPM) is the liaison between the Program team and other supply chain functions. The MPM is responsible for ensuring program requirements are met by the supply base, and collaborates closely with Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and other functions to resolve issues and execute the program. The successful candidate will demonstrate project management, strong communication and critical thinking skills, and be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program goals with minimal supervision. Responsibilities span from new business capture activities through contract closure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing & executing supply chain strategies and plans for the program(s). Providing comprehensive Supply Chain support through the program life & ensuring compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable. Overall ownership of supply chain processes including supplier performance, metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where plan, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc. Developing & guiding supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and bases of estimates Developing & executing risk/opportunity plans to meet program targets. Identifying & developing opportunities for small business participation. Monitoring & proactively addressing performance & financial metrics, including those related to cost, schedule, quality, & EVMS. Acting as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for material & SCM labor. Flowing down Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation & subcontract organization plans.



Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Required Skills: Minimum 5 years directly related work experience in Supply Chain or related work experience. High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Understanding of government regulations (ie: FAR / DFARS, ITAR / EAR, TINA, etc.). Demonstrated ability to resolve problems.



Desired Skills: Previous Procurement/Subcontracts/Contracts/Program Management/Budgetary management experience. Experience with SAP/PRISM & the Supply Chain suite of resources. Technical knowledge of related hardware applications, as well as knowledge of operational and manufacturing processes (assembly, integration, and test). Experience developing statements of work (SOW) that are complete and conform to program requirements. Demonstrated results using continuous improvement processes. Required Education: Bachelor s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance or other related field. Desired Education: Master's Degree (MA, MS, MBA) or equivalent. We re looking for demonstrated leadership and initiative. Doesn t have to be supervisory because individual contributors can demonstrate leadership abilities by the way they solve problems. Cross-functional experience is helpful too might be a blend of supply chain and manufacturing experience or maybe supply chain and finance. Someone with a distribution management (supervisory level) will usually have a more applicable skill set than someone from the trucking (logistics) industry

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $75.00-89.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.



Please Note:

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
