Job Description


Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist with designing, constructing, installing, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling test stands, fixtures, and related hydraulic equipment.
Schedule and ensure activities are planned for the day and equipment PM is performed promptly.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and ensure equipment operates efficiently.
Working from manufacturer's specifications and engineering data or from data developed in conjunction with manufacturing personnel, setting up and preparing N/C machine tools for the operation, and making necessary calibrations, adjustments, and modifications.
Make test runs to ensure the machine is in proper working order. Analyze, locate, and repair complex solid-state analog and digital control systems malfunctions.
Devise, design, fabricate, and construct specialized machine tools as may be required in the production process, working from design data, sketches, and verbal instructions.
Orient machinists, production personnel, and others to understand N/C machine principles and operational characteristics.
Perform major repairs on all types of machine shop equipment, including repairs that require highly accurate alignment and complex assembly.
Relocate production machinery and parts, install air and water lines from the main line to the machine, and align and adjust machines for production operation.
Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment after installation.
Conduct shop surveys to locate, diagnose, and repair electrical malfunctions and deficiencies.
Recommend proper route for conduit lines, time to complete the job, and list of materials needed to complete the job.
Plan the sequence of operations and methods for complex repair and overhaul operations.
Coordinate and schedule work orders. Determine and coordinate manpower required for timely completion.
May work with computers and on the computer software to create and operate programs, reports, and spreadsheets.
Must be available to work on weekends and be on call if emergency repairs are needed.
Perform other related responsibilities.



Qualifications and Education Requirements:

High School or Equivalent

7 years related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities 5 years working with hydraulic/pneumatic equipment and systems preferred.

Proficiency with programmed logic control (PLC) and applications to program preferred.
Thorough knowledge of repairing, troubleshooting, and understanding fluid/hydraulic pumps, valves, regulators, and accumulators as needed to support production activities.
Proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures, especially aerospace-associated equipment.
Thorough knowledge in repairing, troubleshooting, and understating pneumatic pipes, compressors, and systems to support operations.
Perform major repairs on all types of machine shop equipment, including repairs that require highly accurate alignment and complex assembly.
Proficient in working from schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and machine tool testing procedures.
The ability to set up and operate hand and power tools.
Working knowledge of computer and computer software to operate programs, create reports, and maintain spreadsheets.
Required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must demonstrate practical verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work with others and be a participative team player.



Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $34.02 - $51.33 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
