Job Description


This opportunity is on-site and is located at 935 Sunshine Rd. Kansas City, KS 66115

Schedule: 4pm-1230am, Monday - Friday



Support/assist the lab supervisors/chemists by performing routine and non-routine laboratory analysis/wet chemistry on product and in-process samples, to support plant operations for the purpose of quality assurance/control. Perform calibration and maintenance of test equipment. Prepare samples and ensure accurate data generation and records, in accordance with the standard operating procedures. Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance/control issues. Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents, as well as set preparation standards. Position will receive direction and support.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Performing routine/non-routine analysis of in-service oils for customer trending purposes.

Collects data, monitors quality control and performance of laboratory instruments.

Conducts standardized physical and chemical tests to generate data applicable to a wide range of oil products.

    • Refers to work instructions or standard operating procedures, as necessary.



    • Supports Quality by following applicable procedures and guidelines.



Clear communication and teamwork

    • Completion of logbooks entries



    • Participation in shift changeover



    • Conveys issues to appropriate personnel to resolve.



Active participation in site safety (monthly meetings, safety inspections, site safety processes, etc)

Contributes to the completion of daily sample login responsibilities, as necessary.



Qualifications and Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Attention to detail.

Proficiency with computer applications

Ability to multitask and work in a high production environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

General understanding of laboratory environment

Document/Word Processing

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
