Looking for a Welder/Fitter that is highly skilled in pipe fitting. Having the ability to calculate and lay out the takeoff on fittings and pipe to match the engineering drawings. Preferred to have skills in welding GMAW and FCAW. Abilities in GTAW (TIG) a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe operation of welding machines and equipment.
- Perform welding tasks effectively using GMAW, FCAW and GTAW (TIG) processes with little supervision required.
- Able to read drawings and lay out complex piping and structural components.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of the grades and types of carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum materials
- Moves material to other locations as required.
- Work at organizing and maintaining personal and company tools, equipment, and work area in a professional manner.
- Acquire personal tools as required
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attends work per work schedule.
- Works in a safe manner, understands and follows safety regulations, identifies, and corrects unsafe practices by others.
- Employee maintains a positive attitude.
- Employee s work is of excellent quality.
- Employee s production meets or exceeds expected rate.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
***EDUCATION: MINIMUM HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED***
HOURS OF WORK - 6AM - 4: 30PM - OVERTIME AS NEEDED
THERE WILL BE A 2 HOUR WELD TEST INCORPORATED WITH THE INTERVIEW
INDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE AND LEAD BY EXAMPLE
MUST BE PUNCTUAL
Details on weld test - 3G, inch plate pre-beveled open root MIG and Flux fill and cap
Details on equipment candidates need to have for the weld test.
The minimum expected is:
Welding Hood
Pair of Welding Gloves
Welding cap
Long sleeve shirt or leathers
Steel toed boots
Wire brush
Diagonal Cutters
What we typical see qualified Pipe Fitter Welders come with is:
Dressed appropriately for job (Hard Hat, Safety Glasses and Steel Toe Boots)
Welding Hood
Pair of Welding Gloves
Wire Brush
Needle Nose Pilers
Grinder (4 inch with disc and wire wheel)
Respirator Fit Test - 3M 6000 Half Face Piece Respirator required

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $22.00-25.25 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
