Provides analytical support to deliver financial results. Works with internal workers and external vendors to resolve issues and provide ad-hoc financial analysis. Prepares cost reports including forecasts/outlooks. Assists with allocation of funds for projects based on approved budgets and monitors project accounting. Validate invoices, expenditures and change requests impacting budgets. Identifies and implements improvements to cost management processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable to the position. Senior Financial Analyst might be performing basic financial decisions and financial analysis of high complexity.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide financial reporting & analysis for BTCP Basic Chemicals (including Synthetics) business and for the Technical Department; perform accounting for the utilities of the Syngas Unit monthly .
Manage BC financial close and correcting journal entries.
Analyze Basic Chemicals cost results, including budget variances
Analyze and share Technical departmental cost results, including budget variances.
Analyze and share Docks & Oil Movements cost results as received from BTRF
Report Basic Chemicals energy usage quarterly.
Present Technical departmental cost results, including budget variances
Perform Basic Chemicals and Technical Department headcount reporting
Manage BC quarterly journal entries
Analyze and report Basic Chemicals DMWR (FTE and Overtime) annual figures.
Develop Corporate Plan for Basic Chemicals and for the Technical Department
Develop year end cost projections for Basic Chemicals and for the Technical Dept.
Verify Syngas controls procedure
Support Basic Chemicals Fixed Asset and 225 Inventory account verification
Compile cost data and perform analysis for Solomon & Townsend Benchmarking
Perform production reporting to support royalty calculations Ad-hoc Respond to queries from O&A RBAs; regarding cost deviations (WD2 &/or mid-month)
Research cost and headcount questions Create reports to meet new and ad-hoc requirements (cost templates, etc.)
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Financial reporting, data analysis, financial systems, attention to detail
SAP - G9P (GEMS), MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) Soft skills requirements Strong accounting, analytical, communication and time management skills
Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $49.00-$53.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
