Client:

The Client is Canada's second-largest oil company, involved in extracting oil and gas, refining it into usable products, and selling them through gas stations. They're a major player in Canada's energy sector.



MAIN FUNCTIONS
Manage the development and support the implementation of Environmental Standard, related standards and guidelines and environmental engineering practices in general within the assets, under the direction of SSHE management. Project safety coordination and management.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate & lead safety related activities for Projects
Liaise & support Affiliates safety groups & coordinate with Projects
Coordinate the safety resource requirements for Affiliate & Projects
Support the project by development, coordination, consultation & implementation of a systematic approach to safety management through the application of the Project Safety Management System
Support the continuous improvement in environmental performance of company via direct support to assets and managements.
Promote best practice across company in energy efficiency, Greenhouse Gas emissions, air quality and Best Available Techniques (BAT) for Environmental Protection.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
BS of Science equivalent; Safety Certifications desirable
Experience in Oil & Gas project construction experience
Experience in safety with a major Oil company
Experience in a safety management role
Knowledge of industry practices & standards
Ability to work in a challenging work environment
Ability to work in a developing contracting community
Ability to work with multi-discipline team
Full conversant with the techniques & technology of developing & implementing & effective safety management program
Ability to influence both site teams & contractors to improve safety performance
Knowledge of Incident Reporting Guidelines & the investigation process
Familiar with industry & Company safe work practices & standards



Schedule:

12 month contract

5 days a week 40 hours



Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $55-70 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.



Please Note:

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
