Job Description


In the role of Electrical Assembler, you will report to an assigned project Crew Chief and/or Supervisor. The Electrical Assembler will work as part of a production assembly team which is responsible for a broad range of duties including; assembly, testing, modify and repair of electrical apparatuses, equipment and control systems. In addition, the Electrical Assembler will diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools, and assist other skilled trades. Electrical Assembler will perform assembly and rework and will assist in the development of new and revised product materials, processes, and procedures. Based in Fort Worth Hydra Rig Facility.

Roles and Responsibilities:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible to participate in the safe assembly, build, repair, and/or test a variety of new and older mobile oilfield service equipment using standard and/or non-standard tools, equipment, and procedures. Using considerable judgment to ensure quality, correct parts, and/or proper procedures are used

- Perform electrical and electronics installation, repair and troubleshooting through use of drawings, schematics and interpretation and knowledge of applicable codes and safety regulations

- Basic knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics, including knowledge of pumps, valves and hosing systems as may apply to electro-mechanical or electro-hydraulic assemblies is an asset

- Read equipment assembly specifications, such as charts, schematics, blueprints, and typed instructions and details

- Brings technical problems encountered to the Crew Chief s attention for resolution throughout the project

- Participate in regular shop/yard organization and cleanliness exercises.

- Train new employees in assembly operations as required

- Complete and maintain various records and documentation

- Demonstrate the capability to work independently or in a team on complex and multiple projects requiring judgment to resolve problems

- Familiarize yourself with operation controls such as safe working practices and job hazard analysis as appropriate to specific work tasks

- Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements

- Responsible to supply your own tools; a minimum recommendation list is available. The company will lend some atypical tools for temporary use; these are available for sign out through the tool crib service. Further information is available

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- High School Diploma or GED required

- Applicant may have 1-5+ years? Experience or demonstrate competency in related field

- Must have experience or demonstrate equivalent knowledge in electronics, electrical code, safety practices, electrical blueprint and schematic reading and/or oilfield experience in maintenance and repair of NOV CT/PP or related systems

- Knowledge of basic electrical code and safety practices and/or advance electrical blueprint/schematic reading an asset

- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and departments



LEVEL GUIDELINES

Level 1

- Performs basic/repetitive tasks following established company procedures

- Takes direction and works under direct supervision

- Decisions reviewed/made in conjunction with senior person

- Entry Level. Generally, may have 1-2 years experience

Level 2

- Performs more complex duties requiring some skills and judgment

- Makes some decisions independently and works under general supervision

- Knowledge and problem-solving skills being developed

- Generally, may have 3-5 years experience

Level 3

- Performs complex duties and exercises judgment for decisions and problem solving

- Works independently under limited supervision

- Could supervise, coach and train junior staff

- Generally, may have 5+ years of experience

- Does not include manager

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

***EDUCATION: MUST HAVE MINIMUM HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED***



WORKING HOURS - Core hours are 6: 00 am - 2: 45 pm (8 hour day)

If we need OT we will push till 4: 45 (10 hour day) required. Some Saturdays 5: 00 am - 11: 00 am(6 hours); not required, but optional if work is available.



This is a combined requisition for Electrician I, II, or III. The pay rate listed at the min for an Electrician I and the max is listed as an Electrician III. Pay rate offered will depend on the level they are brought in.



Electricians: Level 1: Entry to Mid-level (1 to 2 yrs) Level 2: Mid to Sr Level (3 to 5 yrs) Level 3: Sr Level (5+ yrs)



I would prefer Level 2 &/or Level 3. I would entertain Level 1, after we get a solid 2 or 3 if the personality/attitude was great that would fit culture we are trying to build.



The biggest thing is this is NOT construction type electricians, it's more automotive type electrical wiring.

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams is required.

12 - 24 volt DC circuits; Wire termination and crimps

Control wire diagnosis with electrical boards/solenoids, encoders, pressure and temperature transducers

Familiarity with the NEC and how to apply

Light/switch wiring, receptacle/outlet wiring, HVAC wiring



Nice to have experience

PLC (programmable logic controller) or DAS (Data Acquisition System) experience is a plus but not mandatory.

PLC experience will be found in electricians from industrial plants.

DAS experience will most likely be found in Oil field electrical techs

Ability to understand and use electrical bench tools a plus but not mandatory. This includes the use of:

Oscilloscopes

Frequency generators

Power supplies

Digital Multimeters

Experience or training with Hazardous Locations (ATEX, IECEx and/or NEC Class 1 Div 2) would be a huge plus.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $20.00-28.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
