Job Description


The Drilling Liaison is responsible for coordinating the drilling activities of a drilling rig with the various stakeholders, such as the operator, the drilling contractor, the regulatory agencies, and the landowners. They will work to ensure that the drilling activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all applicable regulations.


Roles and Responsibilities:

The Drilling Liaison plays a crucial role in facilitating effective communication and coordination between drilling teams, clients, regulatory bodies, and various stakeholders involved in drilling operations. This position is responsible for ensuring that drilling projects are executed smoothly, in compliance with regulations, and meeting the expectations of all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact between drilling teams and clients, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Liaise with regulatory agencies, landowners, and local communities to address concerns, obtain permits, and maintain positive relationships.
2. Project Coordination:
Coordinate drilling project activities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, providing regular updates to all relevant parties.
Identify and address any issues or obstacles that may arise during drilling operations.
3. Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure that all drilling activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and environmental standards.
Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals for drilling operations.
Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices.
4. Safety and Environmental Compliance:
Promote a culture of safety among drilling teams, emphasizing the importance of following safety protocols.
Collaborate with environmental specialists to mitigate the environmental impact of drilling operations.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including drilling logs, equipment maintenance, and incident reports.
Prepare and submit reports to clients, regulatory agencies, and senior management as required.
6. Problem Resolution:
Act as a mediator to resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during drilling projects.
Implement solutions to address unexpected challenges and setbacks.
7. Quality Assurance:
Ensure that drilling operations meet the specified quality and performance standards.
Conduct inspections and quality checks as necessary.
8. Budget Management:
Assist in budget development and monitor expenses related to drilling projects.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.G., Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering).
Prior experience in drilling operations, project management, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, techniques, and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in regulatory compliance and permitting processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is a plus.

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $78.69 - $81.69 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Please Note:
Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
