Job Description


The Operations Engineer works to support the priorities of the WSC (Well Support Center) by focusing specifically on a single rig line to help drive decisions, transfer the engineered plan to execution, measure performance and identify opportunities and optimizations.

Responsibilities
Support the Well Superintendents and the field teams in achieving HSE targets by actively participating in all town and field HSE processes.
Ensure compliance of operations with approved procedures, safety, environment, and legislative requirements.

Engage with regulatory bodies during Wells Operations.
Drive the transfer of an engineered plan on paper / approved drilling program to actual execution in the field through the development, review, and approval of signed Section Plans.

Clearly communicate with ops team members and set expectations for execution in collaboration with Well Superintendent and Rig Advisor.
Drive collaboration and develop plan forward between operations and engineering if deviations from the approved D&C procedure and section plan occur.
Review operations forecasting with Rig Site Supervisor.

Support Rig Advisor and vendors to ensure logistics are in place.
Set up and QC Torque/Drag and hydraulic models ahead of section execution including model adjustments.

Lead Wells Surveillance and Analytics Technicians in monitoring and trend analysis.
Work with Wells Surveillance & Analytics Technicians to execute Operations Roadmaps, monitoring trends and deviations from plan.
Perform final review of all MPD and hydraulics modeling, Cementing modeling and other vendor programs prior to execution.
Capture weekly lessons learned, participate in event based After Action Reviews, and generate Service Improvement Opportunities utilizing global Wells Knowledge Application platform (SIO/WKA)
Examine performance and optimization opportunities in collaboration with Wells Engineering team and Well Surveillance and Analytics Technicians.
Responsible for Regulatory Body notifications during Well Operations

Requirements
Bachelor s degree or higher in Engineering
Strong operational background including exposure to various well operational activities
Current Well Control Certification

Education:
Bachelor s Degree or higher in Engineering

Work Schedule:
2 Weeks On/2 Weeks Off (12Hr Days) - 14 days on / 14 days off

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
