Job Description


Alaska - Sourcing & Contract Specialist is responsible for providing ongoing Category Management needs for assigned categories. This management includes strategy development, contract negotiation and execution, and post award contract management. This position will report to the Director of Supply Chain Excellence and Material Category Management in the Alaska Business Unit.

Your responsibilities may include:

Perform contracting and purchasing activities - reviewing, proposing revisions and implementing agreements using standard documents/forms and following contracting policies and procedures.
Effectively work with BU business partners and stakeholders, fellow Supply Chain staff, legal and Category Managers.
Contract authoring utilizing the Company contract tools managing any language changes through functional review and required approval processes.
Analyze suitability of potential suppliers in accordance with Company vendor qualification criteria.
Maintains records of approved, current and potential suppliers by commodity or service.
Implement contract services in a timely and cost-efficient manner within established company policies, procedures and standards.
Coordinate formal RFX for long term commitments and sizable purchases. Performs pre-bid and pre-award meetings.
Analyzes suitability of bids dependent on time constraints, cost and quality assurance.
Prepares bid evaluations and seeks appropriate approvals of awards.
Supplier Performance Management - Ongoing support of the Contract Management Plans and KPI's.
Balancing change management and resolution of any claims
Manage an assigned list of Alaska contracts; Plan and coordinate contract needs and recommended strategies to support various client groups; provide category contract management as necessary.
Responsible for the management of assigned Materials and related services categories.
Purchase of material process from cradle-to-grave & related services.
Liaise with operations teams to coordinate the purchase of materials. Issuance of Purchase Orders. PO and related invoice error resolution.

Qualifications
Required and Preferred Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, other related field or foreign equivalent
3 plus years of experience in supply chain contracting
Basic knowledge and understanding of SAP procurement activities
1 plus years of experience with data analytics tools such as Tibco Spotfire, and/or MS PowerBI,
Advanced level of knowledge and understanding of commercial terms and conditions
Basic level of proficiency in contract drafting skills
Proven negotiation skills & ability to effectively apply analytical tools, concepts and methods
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative commercial models focused on supplier delivery
Able to balance large number of contracts in various stages of development in both larger and smaller/local tier
Very strong organizational skills in document management and administration
Proven communicator, able to operate efficiently and with transparency in a matrix environment
Hardworking with ability to work as part of a team
Demonstrated ethical integrity
Flexible and creative approach with willingness to accept change
Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what s right

Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, other related field or foreign equivalent

Work Schedule:
9-80 Schedule (9Hr Days) - 5 days on / 2 days off

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $53.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
