The company is executing a portfolio of projects globally across three primary business lines: CCUS, H2, Offsets & Emerging. The Contracts Advisor is responsible for leading the full S2P cycle for multiple and concurrent capital project contracts.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Leading contract formulation and sourcing package development, executing sourcing activities, negotiating contract terms, administering contractor performance, managing contract claims and closeouts
Providing oversight to contractors and technology providers to ensure effective management of work scopes and strict compliance with contract terms, functional requirements, applicable engineering standards and statutory requirements.
Ensuring Company/CNE OE and HES requirements are communicated and well understood by contractors and suppliers to drive safety performance and Operational Excellence.
Ensuring compliance to applicable policies and procedures in a fit for purpose, risk-based approach. Leveraging expertise and network to proactively make meaningful recommendations for simplification tailored to meet CNE s needs.
Assisting Contract owners with the application of risk and decision analysis in the contracting process.
Applying SMART expertise to execute and steward deliverables.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor s degree in a technical or business-related field such as Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or Finance.
Minimum 8 years of direct contract development and contract formulation experience in lieu of Bachelor s degree.
Minimum 8 years direct Supply Chain Management and contract development and formulation experience, including leading all aspects of contract planning, contract formulation, sourcing and negotiations, and supplier management.
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and skill in standardized end-to-end contracting processes for medium to complex (risk and value) scopes of work.
Extensive knowledge of applicable contracting policies and a solid communicator both in writing and orally.
Understanding of business and external (suppliers and regulatory) drivers.
Ability to effectively sync and integrate P/SCM and BU business strategies in varying market conditions. Experienced and effective in interfacing with internal stakeholders such as Base Operations, Compliance, Legal, Finance, BU management, and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to build team consensus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline, multi-cultural environment.
Recognized by peers as a subject matter expert (SME) within contracting. Sought out as a resource for P/SCM knowledge. Highly effective in communicating to build teamwork and collaboration.
Fluency in use of spend management and contracting technology tools (eg. SAP, Smart by GEP, Ariba, Spotfire, Power BI), along with a solid understanding of how the tools align with the processes and policies they support.
High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Access, SharePoint, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor s degree in a technical or business-related field such as Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or Finance.

PAY RANGE:
The starting pay range for this position is $68.00 - $72.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
