The Civil / Structural Lead Field Engineer is responsible for technical coordination and leadership of all aspects of Civil, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineering. Additionally, the Civil / Structural Lead Engineer is responsible for providing engineering expertise and timely support during the current Construction Phase of the project to meets the project s safety, quality, and operability requirements. The role requires significant coordination with the Owner s team and the Engineering & Construction Contractors.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinates the reviews of any new Contractor Engineering deliverables related to Civil / Structural Engineering.
Reviews, provides technical input, and makes decisions for the Owner with regard to RFI s, Technical Query s, etc, that are related to Civil / Structural issues
Provides overall coordination of the Company Civil and Geotechnical Engineers for the project, including the Beaumont and Site offices
Ensure construction meets project design and construction specifications
Works on site and is a part of the field engineering staff
Travel is required to the different job sites in Starks LA, Vidor TX, and Sabine Pass, TX. May require other limited travel
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
10+ years of related professional experience in the Petrochemical industry
Field construction experience
Broad and extensive knowledge of:
Civil & Structural design standards, codes, and industry practices including but not limited to: International Building Code (IBC), ASCE 7-16, AISC 360, PIP STS02360: Driven Piles Installation Specification, ACI 318, AC358 for Helical Piles
Design and Installation of Concrete driven piles, helical piles, mass concrete installations
Construction practices related to site clearance, underground installations, foundations, structures, roads, etc.
Project Engineering/Project Management skills or background preferred
Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
The pay range for this position is $95.00 - $98.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
