Quality Assurance Inspector III
Independently inspects and checks parts to ensure compliance with documents, standards and customer requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Functions and Responsibilities
Visually inspect or check parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments.
Check dimensions and finishes against blueprint or work order specifications.
Interprets and follows written instructions, sketches, weld schedules, drawings and
documents.
Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
Perform detailed first article inspections.
Train all skill levels of inspection.
Develop custom measuring or gauge set-ups.
Represent Exotic procedures and inspections to customers and auditors.
Help with development and critiques of inspection procedures.
Uses independent judgment in making decisions and knows when to stop and seek
clarification.
Serve as a resource to others for resolving complex challenges.
Collaborate effectively with Quality Engineering, Design Engineering and Manufacturing
personnel.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School or equivalent
Skills and Experience
Requires fundamental knowledge of inspection procedures and tools.
Capable of inspecting diverse and complex parts.
Requires a fundamental knowledge of most (preferably all) company specific
manufacturing processes.
Fully proficient in interpreting manufacturing planning, sketches, blueprints, and
specifications, including views, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T),
symbols, and revision control.
Few limitations but knows what they are and stops and finds appropriate interpretation
when necessary.
Working Conditions
Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment
including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, respirator, and rubber gloves as required.
Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $31.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
