Located on Alaska s North Slope in the National Petroleum Reserve (NPR-A), the Willow project is estimated to produce 180, 000 barrels of oil per day at its peak.
Willow will be a greenfield design including all processing facilities, utilities, drilling equipment, camp, and power generation.
The economic impact of the Willow project will be sizable. According to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) estimates, Willow could generate between $8 billion and $17 billion in new revenue for the federal government, the state of Alaska, the North Slope Borough, and local communities. The initial phase of Willow development will include a new Willow Central Processing Facility (WCF), three drill sites, pipelines, roads, bridges and supporting infrastructure.
The Project Controls Specialist shall perform project control activities on specific projects, including essential functions below. Team members at this level are responsible for completing routine aspects of project control assignments with minimal oversight. We are looking for a junior person with great knowledge in excel, knowledge in SAP preferably. Having some experience in Project Controls is a plus or at least some basic knowledge of concepts.
Essential Functions
Prepare and update status reports, project budgets/costs reports, progress measurement reports, and other related activities.
Prepare and update key project management reports for the purposes of supporting decisions and direction of the overall project.
Support the change and trend management process. Preparing change management documents for the project, including monitoring, and tracking of cost and schedule.
Assist in analysis of staffing and manpower plans.
Interface with stakeholders, contractors, and management for reporting and cost tracking purposes.
Create periodic project analysis of gathered data through verification and validation to support project control metrics.
Provide timely and accurate project controls reporting and communication to management for large Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects.
Basic/Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of Project Controls experience or bachelor s degree in a business related major or engineering/construction management
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook Access, PPT)
Preferred Qualifications
5 plus years Project Controls experience
SAP Experience Preferred
Some MS Project or Primavera knowledge
Some knowledge of oil and gas engineering and construction processes
Competencies
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Results Oriented
Ability to cope in a positive and productive manner within a high-pressure environment as expected in a Project with an aggressive schedule.
Work Schedule:
9-80 Schedule (9Hr Days) - 5 days on / 2 days off
Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $55 - $60 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
