Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Works as part of a group of operators responsible for operations of the plant, which include tasks such as blending lubricants, shipping and receiving bulk trucks and railcars.
• Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices, maintaining a safe working environment, participating in Loss Prevention System and being prepared to respond to an environmental or safety event.
• Ensures all work performed adheres to the companies Operational Excellent (OE) standards and regulatory and code requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Required experience in lubricants, oil and gas or related petrochemical or process industries: A minimum of 1 year of lubricants operator experience, 3 years of other petroleum or chemical operator experience, or Military Experience working with lubricants and fuels.
• Possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to work on-call shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work outside in hot or cold environments.
• Able to operate a forklift and operate other machinery.
• Not allergic to additives, diesel fuels, or lubricating oils.
• Ability to work any shift, work overtime on short notice, and respond to emergency situations when they arise.
• Ability to be able to meet all physical requirements of the job including items such as climbing on top of product storage tanks, maneuver under a railcar for inspections, and lift 50 - 75 pounds.
• Good working knowledge of plant operations which includes basic pipe, valve, and tank knowledge as well as tank trucks and loading rack equipment.
• A good understanding of manufacturing facilities.
• Have good working knowledge of PCs.
• Able to use and understand computers - familiar with the use of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail.
• Good planning and organizing skills.
• Self-starter, flexible, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, adapts easily to change, able to multitask, and seeks continuous improvement.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written. Good Organizational Skills.
• Teamwork Skills - works as a team member demonstrating tact, initiative, and self-motivation.
• Able to analyze and survey data to draw valid conclusions, identify root causes and solve problems.
• Good mathematics and reasoning skills a necessity
• Seeks continuous improvement, innovative and creative
• Must be dependable and able to work any shift and overtime on short notice.
• Attendance record in compliance with local absence control policy.
• Attentive to safety and accountable for own actions
