Operations Support Coordinator

Job Purpose
The Operations Support Coordinator is responsible for working with Engineering, Operations and other departments to validate vendor invoices to insure proper processing and timely payment of invoices. This position supports the organization by researching vendor payment issues, developing solutions and resolving problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Engineering, Operations and other departments to validate vendor invoices to ensure proper payment to vendors prior to posting in BBVA Compass & Great Plains Accounts Payable(AP) software applications
  • Act as a problem resolutions liaison between the business and vendors and communicating with vendors to resolve open issues
  • Assist with coordinating the activities of the team engaged in resolving vendor issues
  • Provide support and training when requested to internal customers on the subject of established reports, contractor rates, vendor approval and setup, and Master Services Agreements
  • Schedule and perform review and analysis to include vendor spend, new vendor review, rate sheet analysis, ad hoc reports
  • Support the evaluation of Company process improvement opportunities
  • Special projects as required

Basic Requirements and Education

  • College degree in Accounting/Business preferred or 10 years+ experience in Accounting/AP processing
  • High School Diploma required
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, especially AP process
  • Prior Accounts Payable, data management and systems data entry required
  • Problem solver, analytical, detail oriented and logical thought processing required
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently, as well as with team members, Company employees and Vendors
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Must be able to successfully pass Drug and Alcohol pre-employment and ongoing screening
