Job Description


The main function of a Grease Packaging Operator is to receive, store and issue materials, equipment and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

Responsibilities:

    • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.



    • At times, you will be sitting for long periods of time watching the lines for any packaging malfunctions.



    • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.



    • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.



    • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.



    • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.



    • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.



    • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.



    • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.



    • Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.



    • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.



    • Housekeeping Cleaning machines, sweeping, etc.



    • Other duties as assigned



Required Skills:

    • Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.



    • Dependable transportation



    • Valid Driver License



    • Team player



    • Detail oriented.



    • Basic Plus required



    • 2 plus years of Warehouse type experience



    • Ability to work in extremely cold/hot warehouse conditions



    • Basic housekeeping



    • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures



    • Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

Education/Experience:

    • HS Diploma or GED

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $14 - $18 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Schedule:
Days/Nights rotations, 8-12 hr. Shifts, must be able to work weekends as needed.
