Company s Aerospace Systems has an opening for an experienced Electrical Wire Harness / RF Cable Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK or Palmdale, CA, and is assigned to a 1st shift 9/80 work schedule.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
As an Electrical Wire Harness / RF Cable Engineer, SOW will entail designing, analyzing, and supporting procurement and fabrication/assembly of Wire Harness and RF Cables inclusive of Wire Shielding and grounding methodology, EMI/RFI, circuit redundancy and separation techniques. Possess key skills necessary to create and read Electrical Schematics, Cable Block Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams and translate info/data into Cable and Wire Harness Diagrams.
Responsible for the generation of Wiring Harness and Assembly BTP s in accordance with contractual requirements and the System Wiring Diagrams. Requires knowledge of military and vendor hardware specifications and processes associated with Wiring Harness and Assembly construction. Coordination with wiring assembly routers to determine lengths and available space for components as required.
Also responsible for the detailed design of electrical panels/assemblies (circuit breaker panels, junction boxes, control panels). The candidate will be expected to provide sound judgment in support of design activities and aerospace manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in wire harness and cabling design for Airborne and Military applications with familiarity of MIL-50881 and general Aerospace requirements. CATIA V5, Matlab, HarnesSYS, CEEDS, Mentor Graphics Capital, and/or similar tools knowledge preferred. The candidate should also have an understanding of 3D modeling, modern file management systems, and MRB.



Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in vehicle system integration or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in vehicle systems integration.
Minimum 3 years of experience in wire harness and/or RF cable design
Experience with HarnesSYS, CEEDS, Mentor Graphics Capital, and/or similar tools



Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.



Preferred Skills:

Experience with NX 3D modeling tools or similar systems.
Experience with supplier management. Ability to manage cost and schedule at a professional level also desirable.
Familiar with Mil-Std-704, and AS50881

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $50.00-$62.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
